The Suffern Police Department and The Department of Homeland Security arrested a convicted Level 3 sex offender.

Michael Eisenberg of 121 Parkside Avenue, Suffern was charged with one count of Distribution of Child Exploitation Material and one count of Possession of Child Exploitation Material.

During the execution of the search warrant, a large amount of child exploitation material was found.

In February of 2015 Eisenberg was arrested and charged with Actual, More Than Once Promoting/Possessing Sexual Performance by a Child.

He was convicted of two charges below and sentenced to 3-6 years behind bars.:

Promote An Obscene Sexual Performance By Child Less Than 17 Yrs Of Age

Possessing Obscene Sexual Performance By Child < 16:possess/access  

 

According to the Suffern Police Department, The designation of a Level 3 sex offender has the highest risk to public safety.  Eisenberg was recently arrested for failing to notify authorities of employment change, as required by the New York State Sex Offender Registry Act.

Eisenberg was arraigned on February 2, 2022 in Federal Court and has been remanded into the custody of the US Marshals Service.
