Michael Parietti
I was born and raised in western Ramapo. Graduate of Suffern High School and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Eagle Scout, 4 Time Rockland County Wrestling Champion.
Served in the U.S. Army Infantry as platoon and executive officer in the 10th Mountain Div. Airborne, Ranger, Pathfinder qualified.
Career in the Biotechnology Industry. Masters in Biotechnology from Penn State University.
One of the original organizers of Preserve Ramapo and Preserve Rockland from 2003 to the present, continuously involved for more than 15 years.
Helped organize the referendum that voted down taxpayer funding for the Stadium.
Ran on the Preserve Ramapo ballot line against ilan Schoenberg for county legislator in 2011 and beat him 2 to 1 outside of New Square.
Ran against St. Lawrence in 2013 on the Preserve Rockland line with Ed Day who was running for County Executive. The votes Day received on the PR line helped to put him over the top in his victory. 
Fought a successful protracted Pro Se battle with the Town of Ramapo to force a referendum on the Ward System which was held in 2014.
Currently running for County Legislator in District 1.
